‘We are happy to have Greenland back in our SAS programme of direct flights to and from Copenhagen airport,’ said Corinna Lundbeck, head of the airport's Airline Relations.

She added that Greenland’s unique nature gives it great potential as a tourist destination and that that the airline had experienced a surge of interest in travelling there. SAS has not flown the route since 2002.
